257 This book has got to be the best book on the nuts and bolts of photoshop – layers! What I like about this book is that if you have some basic photoshop skills, this book and the techniques in it will help you understand how layers work, help you work more efficiently, and will help you take your projects to the next level.
The accompanying CD is an invaluable resource. Not only does it contain the book files so you can work along with the step-by-step instructions as shown in the book, but it also has some actions that are very helpful in simplifying steps for future projects.
The book is very easy to read and the full color illustrations, screen shots, and photos make it very easy to grasp the concepts. I also enjoyed the fact that this book covers layer styles for not only images but also typography, the ever elusive layer modes, and some advanced blending. I absolutely love this book! |
