I LOVE THIS BOOK

Along with Dreamweaver CS4 The Professional Portfolio, Against The Clock also has Photoshop CS4, InDesign CS4, Illustrator CS4 and Flash CS4.

Thanks for the opportunity to read, review and own this book. I am a student of design and just finished my Dreamweaver class last semester. The Professional Portfolio puts the book we used to SHAME. I have turned my teacher on to this series and he has asked to use it for his Dreamweaver class next semester. The first thing I noticed was that the layout is appealing to a design student and easy to follow. While I will keep it in my collection, unlike numerous books I have purchased for classes, I do not see it as a quick reference book.

Included is a CD that has all the files needed to work through the projects. Not having to develop the content that is used within websites allows beginners to learn Dreamweaver instead of worring about finding/creating content. Throughout the projects additional helpful information is enclosed in green boxed areas. While this information is not necessary for the projects, it provides a better understanding of Dreamweaver and coding principals.

Someone who has been using Dreamweaver for a long time may not find anything helpful here, but for us newbies to the program it is a must. I cannot wait to see the Flash version.
