Maxon (Cinema 4D) our new Premiere Sponsor

I am very pleased to announce that Cinema 4D has come onboard as one of our Premiere Sponsors. For those of you whom have never heard of Cinema 4D, it is a product that IMHO is a very easy to use, but extremely powerful, and affordable 3D development option over 3D Studio Max.

You may ask yourself, why do I need it? Well, if you have ever worked with the 3D capabilities of either Photoshop or Illustrator, and been very frustrated, then this program is for you. It's text rendering capabilities alone make it worth the purchase price.

May 13th Raffles for the Big Show!

Ok everyone, for me this is newsworthy. This took a lot of negotiating with our sponsors but here is how it looks for what I will raffle on this coming Thursday night. I have worked very hard to get this done and you can do the group no greater service than to tell and bring your friends to this meeting so that they can see what we do in our group. This meeting will be nothing short of unbelievable. Click the software titles to read about them.

DMAGAZINE Update

DMAGAZINE and our latest meeting

First an update on the mag

Well, need to carry a mop around to clean up my drool from what I saw regarding the progress of DMAGAZINE last night. In a word, I was DUMBFOUNDED.

There is still much to go in regards to completing and saying we are done, but the layout that I saw was outstanding. It is going to be such a tremendous accomplishment to get this magazine out and into the design world. It is also going to be a tremedous gift! This vision is really coming to fruition and I am amazed.

I want to give Brittany Thompson - editor and Chris Wells my utmost thanks for putting a whole lot of heart into this. They have really helped create something that will go far beyond being a local rag, it will be an event, and one that people will look forward too!
