303 Before I use a book, I give it a feel test. I'm looking for a useful feel; is it inviting, does it compel me to open it, are the pages easy to read, is it easy to navigate, does the index work? Julie King's Everyday Photoshop for Photographers, passes all my preliminary feel tests with high marks. |

310 When I first picked up Photoshop CS for Nonlinear Editors – Second Edition by Richard Harrington, I thought the book was something different than what it actually was. From first flip through, it seemed that it would be about the use of various Photoshop techniques, but in reality, it is also much more. Contrary to my first impression, this book is based around using Photoshop for editing video, though there is little indication of this on the cover. |

304 Don't let the name mislead you. This is not a book just about Photoshop. This is a book on how Photoshop is a tool in creating interesting, unusual and most of all unique images. If I had to recommend this book to one group of professionals it would be hands down for photographers. But by no means am I saying it's only for photographers. Anyone interested in using Photoshop to create realistic composite images can use this book. |
