This is a very comprehensive book for photographers. It covers everything from the best ways to shoot images for digital editing, to the differences in diferent papers and printers, and eveything a photographer needs to know in between. As a designer, who often takes photographs for clients, this book provides some great insights about workflow and image taking for use in Photoshop CS4. I can't imagine a photographer not having this book. This is a great book and a must have reference guide for anyone that shoots digital images and uses Photoshop to adjust and print.

This Photoshop advice and teaching book by Phillip Andrews is a great find. It's not a sit by the fire and read book but, rather a wonderful ready reference.

Adobe keeps making great products and adding new features almost to the speed of "hold on I can't keep up.” This book offers some handholds on Photoshop. It is set up in dictionary style in which it describes every feature and action in Photoshop from A to Z with really nice color photos. In many cases it has multiple screenshots of features, filters and actions.

"Advice from Down Under" might be an appropriate subtitle for this book, since it was written by two seasoned Australian photographers – and both are, unsurprisingly, beta testers for the Adobe Photoshop product line. Their prose is peppered with non-U.S. spellings and phrases such as "colour," "whilst," and "realize," but this is not distracting in the least. After all, these people have used the English language a bit longer than Americans!
