Replay Music is one of those rare pieces of software that does exactly what it says. And you don’t have
to join Lynda.com or read 3 volumes of “for dummies” books to figure out how to use it. Replay Music
is a small little piece of software from Applian Technologies that allows you to record high quality MP3
files from CDs, internet radio, music videos, pay to play music websites and other files played through
the internet or on your computer.
I know what you’re thinking; “I have some freeware that does that.” No, no you don’t, or at least the
freeware doesn’t give you the features Replay Music gives you. Before you start recording you can tag
the files with the artist name, music genre, album name and song title. In many cases Replay Music uses
proprietary song recognition technology to add the tags automatically. Replay Music has greatly
improved its song recognition database too.
Now its time to tell you about Replay Music’s coolest feature. Okay maybe not the coolest thing ever
but really, really helpful. It’s the splitting feature. Let’s flash back to the freeware recording programs- if
you’ve used them you know you have to have everything set up just right and you still cut off part of the
recording or have a bunch of dead air on one side or the other (oh how this brings back memories of
cassette tapes). With Replay Music, that’s a thing of the past. I’m not sure how it does it but it
“magically” knows when to start and stop recording so you end up with a perfect track or set of tracks.
I would suggest some features I’d like to see on Replay Music but then it would loose what makes
Replay Music so great- its simplicity, yet great functionality.
You can try it for free up to 25 tracks and best of all, Music Replay comes with a 30 day money back
guarantee. If you find yourself converting your tracks to MP3 or recording online a lot you really need
to try Music Replay. You want regret it.
I give Music Replay 4 out of 5 stars. I have to knock off one star just because they don’t have a MAC
version.
